emerson excellenceIt is our pleasure to recognize Lexie Cuppett for her years of dedication and commitment to the students of Triad. Lexie Cuppett started with the district in January of 2007 as a special education teacher. She has worked both at St. Jacob and Silver Creek as a cross-categorical teacher with students who have a wide array of disabilities. She implements individualized plans for all her students with fidelity.  Mrs. Cuppett differentiates her instruction and utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis throughout the school day for each of her students. Teachers utilize her for guidance and support. Students who have been in Mrs. Cuppett’s class have made significant gains because of her patience, diligence, and resilience. She is an advocate for her students!  Additionally, she has built strong rapport and relationships with the parents of her students.  Administration, parents, teachers, students, and staff respect her and consider her a positive role model. Even when there are tough days, she maintains an optimistic attitude and strives to always do what is best for students

In addition to her hard work in the classroom setting, Mrs. Cuppett has been working with the Special Olympics organization since 2008 which started with one athlete. Currently, there are now 26 students who are part of the Triad Special Olympics Team. She has organized practices and competitions in Bocce Ball, Track & Field, Soccer Skills, Basketball Skills, Snowshoeing, and Bowling. Lexie has built a strong coaching team over the years. She currently works closely with several other staff in the district (Kathy Mersinger at THS, Jacque Quick-Nance @ TMS, Sara Ulrich @ Silver Creek), and paraprofessionals (Kelly Garrett & Dana Massie).
